Amy Cain
was born in Jacksonville, Florida and
grew up in The Woodlands/Spring area of Texas. Her 20 years of
dance training include working with such instructors/choreographers
as Wes Veldink, director of The Wes Veldink Movement in New York;
Fred Strobel, Barbara Bears, Naomi Glass, Caleb Mitchell, and
Damien Schwiethale of Houston Ballet; Randall Flinn and Laura
Ziegelbauer of Dance Ad Deum; numerous others from L.A. and N.Y.;
and most importantly Ken McCulloch, who has been Amy’s
private dance coach and source of inspiration throughout her entire
career. Amy is in her twelfth year of partnership in directing
NHPA®, home of the NHPA® Dance Company and the newly founded
professional company Revolve Dance Company. In addition to
performing with Revolve Dance Company, Amy is a part time member of
Ad Deum Dance Company and is a guest artist with Dominic Walsh
Dance Theater. She is also currently on staff as a Ballet/Lyrical
instructor at Masters, Upper Level, and is a Jazz/Lyrical
instructor for ADII, Ad Deum Dance Company Trainee Program. Her
students and choreography have earned top honors at numerous
regional and national competitions, have been showcased at various
community events, and most recently have fulfilled an invitation to
perform at an international dance meeting in Italy. Amy provides
instruction in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Leaps &
Turns, and is a Certified Pilates Mat Instructor.
Dawn Dippel
has been dancing most of her life,
and is now part owner of a successful dance school North Harris
Performing Arts in the Woodlands, TX. She was born in Wichita
Falls, TX, and grew up in Houston. Dawn graduated from
Houston’s High School for the Performing & Visual Arts
dance department, and for the past 5 years she has spent much time
training in and outside of Houston. She has worked with Wes Veldink
and Mia Michaels from New York, Yung Woo from Korea, Natsuo,
Malaya, & Dee Caspary all from LA. Locally Dawn trained with
Laura Ziegelbauer, Priscilla Murphy, Fred Strobel, Barbara Bears,
Damian Schwiethale, Randall Flinn, and Naomi Glass. This year she
will be one of theco-directors, choreographers, and members of NHPA®’ s new professional company Revolve Dance Company, while also doing some guest work with Ad Deum Dance Company and Dominic Walsh Dance Thearter in Houston. Dawn has spent many years working beside many talented professional artists, which have all been an influence and inspiration in her journey of this art. Dawn provides instruction in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Leaps & Turns, and is a Certified Pilates Mat Instructor.
Allison
Stanley was born in Houston,
Texas and started her dance training at the age of 7 years old. She
began her training with Paula Abbott of Abbott’s Performing
Arts Center and then continued with North Harris Performing
Arts® in Spring, TX with Ken McCulloch, Amy Cain, and
Dawn Dippel. Allison’s training also includes working with
Fred Strobel, Naomi Glass, Damian Schwiethale, and Barbara Bears of
Houston Ballet, Randall Flinn of Ad Deum Dance Company, Wes Veldink
of the Wes Veldink Movement and other teachers and choreographers
from Los Angeles and New York. She was also invited to dance in
Tropea, Italy at the Calabriarte Danza International Dance Meeting.
Allison has been co-owner of NHPA® dance
studio for seven years now, and is also on staff with
Abbott’s Performing Art Center. She is currently setting
choreography on the NHPA® Dance
Company, and is dancing professionally with Revolve Dance Company.
Her most recent performances with Revolve Dance Company
include: “Big Range Dance
Festival 2007” (2007), Choreographers X6 (2007), and
Revolve’s most recent concert “Allies” (2006).
Allison currently teaches Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, and
Leaps & Turns
Jessica Thayer of Chicago, IL. began dancing with Mary Ann
Corchran. At the age of 13 she relocated to Houston and began
training with North Harris Performing Arts. Jessica has worked with
such teachers/choreographers as: Ken McCulloch, Amy Cain, Dawn
Dippel of NHPA®, Fred Strobel, Barbara Bears, Naomi Glass, Damien
Schwiethale of the Houston Ballet, Wes Veldink of the Wes Veldink
Movement and many others from Los Angeles to New York City. Jessica
has been dancing with NHPA® for 11 years, and has been a partner of
NHPA® for 5yrs. She began teaching for NHPA® in 1999, and also
worked with Masters of Dance/ Masters the Upper Level from
2002-2005. She has also choreographed with both the NHPA® Dance
Company and Velocity Dance Company. As a member of Revolve Dance
Company, Jessica has had the opportunity to perform at The
International Dance Meeting, Italy (2004), Dance Sampler (2004),
Testament with Ad Deum Dance Co. (2004/2005), Project Dance NY
(2005). Jessica offers instruction in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Leaps
& Turns and is also a certified mat Pilates
instructor.
Matt Dippel was born in Houston Texas and started dance at
North Harris Performing Arts ®. After 13 years still training and
learning in the arts, Matt is now the seventh member to enter into
a partnership of eight with NHPA® . Matt has worked with such
instructors/choreographers as Wes Veldink from the Wes Veldink
Movement, Barbara Bears, Naomi Glass, Damien Schwiethale, and Fred
Strobel of Houston Ballet; Randall Flinn of Ad Deum Dance Company,
and numerous teachers in N.Y. and L.A. In 2002 Matt performed in
the Magic Company at the Performing Arts Center and was offered a
contract with Dorothy Day Otis Talent Agency. Though just starting
his career, Matt’s choreography has already received top
awards at various competitions in and out of Houston. Currently he
is working with the NHPA® Dance Company, Revolve Dance Company, and
Abbot’s Performing Arts Center. Matt offers instruction in
Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, and Leaps & Turns.
Jennifer Stricklin
was born in Houston, Texas and began
her training in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz with Lori Sharpless of
Lori’s Dance Studio for 8 years. At the age of 12 she started
training a North Harris Performing Art with Amy Cain, Dawn Dippel,
and Ken McCulloch. Jennifer graduated from Houston’s High
School for the Performing & Visual Arts dance department. She
has had the opportunity to work with such
instructors/choreographers as Wes Veldink of the Wes Veldink
Movement; Barbara Bears, Naomi Glass, Damian Schwiethale, and Fred
Strobel of Houston Ballet; Randall Flinn of Ad Deum Dance Company,
and numerous other teachers from across the country. As a member of
Revolve Dance Company, Jennifer has had the opportunity to perform
at The International Dance Meeting in Tropea, Italy (2004),
Testament with Ad Deum Dance Company (2005), and Project Dance New
York (2005). She has taught Ballet for The Woodlands Dance Force,
and Ballet, Tap, and Jazz for Tracey’s Dance Company.
Jennifer currently teaches Ballet, Jazz Lyrical, and Leaps &
Turns..
Lauren Difede
was born in St. Croix of the U.S.
Virgin Islands, and has primarily grown up in The Woodlands. Lauren
began dancing at 8 years old, and has been training with North
Harris Performing Arts for 11 years now. Lauren’s current
inspiration and training comes from North Harris Performing
Art’s®
Amy Cain, Dawn Dippel, and Ken
McCulloch. Throughout her training she has also had opportunities
to work with teachers and choreographers such as Wes Veldink,
Priscilla Nathan Murphy, Naomi Glass, Damian Schwiethale, Barabra
Bears, and Fred Strobel. Lauren graduated from the dance department
at High School for Performing and Visual Arts in 2006 and is now
currently a sophomore at St. Thomas University, as a psychology
major. Lauren is currently on staff at NHPA®, and a new
member of Revolve Dance Company.
Sarah Radocay
was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
and started dancing at a very young age at Laura Lynn School of
Dance. She has been training with North Harris Performing Arts for
the past 10 years and has recently joined Revolve Dance Company.
Sarah has had the opportunity to train with such
teachers/choreographers as Ken McCulloch, Amy Cain, and Dawn Dippel
-founders of NHPA®, Fred Strobel, Barbara Bears, Naomi Glass,
Damien Schwiethale of the Houston Ballet, Wes Veldink of the Wes
Veldink Movement, Randall Flinn of Ad Deum Dance Company, and many
others from Los Angeles. As a
member of NHPA® Dance Company, Sarah had the privilege to perform
and train in Tropea, Italy. For the past 4 years she has been
teaching with NHPA® and continues to do so in the styles of ballet
and tap.
Jane Thayer
was born in Joliet, Ill and grew up
in Spring, TX where she began her dance training at NHPA in 1995.
She was instructed by Amy Cain, Dawn Dippel, and Ken McCulloch, who
have been and still are her Artistic mentors through the art of
dance. Jane has also had the opportunity to work with other
choreographers/teachers in the Houston area such as: Fred Strobel,
Barbara Bears, Naomi Glass, Damien Shwienthale, Claira Cravey of
Houston Ballet, Randall Flinn of Ad Deum Dance Company. Also Wes
Veldink of the Wes Veldink Movement, Jason Parsons of New York,
Natsuo, Malaya, Mandy Moore and Ryan Heffington of LA and Yung Woo
of Korea. She was invited to dance with Revolve Dance Company in
their Premiere Performance “Dance Sampler” (2005) along
with their performances “8” (2005), and
“Allies” (2006). She also performed in Ad Deum’s
“Mystery & Miracle” (2007). Jane is also a full
time seamstress for Revolve Dance Company along with NHPA Dance
Company and has been since 2005. She has also had the opportunity
to work with Dominic Walsh Dance Theater as the head Wardrobe
Mistress in recent performances: “Today’s
Visionaries” (2007) and “Made In Italy” (2007).
She is currently on staff at NHPA giving instruction in Ballet,
Lyrical, Jazz, and Leaps and Turns.
